A good Friday

A lovely day was spent in Sussex. First a drive through the gorgeous countryside in our lovely old boy to Chichester. We visited the Pallant Gallery to see the Robin and Lucienne Day exhibition. It really was more focused on Lucienne's work with a few key Robin Day pieces throughout. It was amazing to see so many of her textile's designs in one place. The gallery also holds a really good collection including some of Peter Blake's work.

It also has a great bookshop. I treated myself to a couple of books and a 'Too many cooks' tea towel.

Then lunch round the corner at Amelie and Friends. We were passing, we were hungry and it looked intriguing. It was very nice indeed. Amazing food, brilliant service, great design and lovely outdoor dining area and fantastic prices! We will be returning to Chichester just to eat there again.

Back in the boy and a stop at Petworth House. A fantastic house with a huge collection of Turner and Blake amongst many others. Petworth is a very pretty small town which main source of business appears to be antiques. There are shops around every corner! Shame 18th and 19th century isn't my thing as it would be heaven!

Back home to try and do some work but Mabel the cat did a good job of distracting me.
